Meet Our President

Welcome to Newcomers Club of Greater Seattle. As current President, and on behalf of the women of our Club, I welcome you and invite you to explore our website and join us in participating in the many activities offered. We have a dynamic group and a wide array of activities.

My husband and I returned to the Seattle area several years ago to be close to family. I have lived in 11 different states and have participated in Newcomers in several other areas. I knew the benefits of joining a newcomer’s group and have found the Newcomers Club of Greater Seattle to be a very welcoming, inclusive group. One of the things I like best is that you don’t really need to be a newcomer, any woman is welcome and having members new to the area, as well as long-term residents, is so very beneficial.

Through more than 30 activities, we connect and bond, we eat, drink and mingle, we explore and enjoy, we get creative together, we read and share ideas, we play, stay active and, most importantly, we have fun. Some of our groups are open to partners/guests.

Our members come from all over the greater Seattle area. In addition to meeting in person, some of our activities are offered virtually, and on weekdays and weekends. You are welcome to join activities as a guest and to see if our club is a good fit for you.

We can’t wait to meet you.

From numerous book groups to Coffee, Mahjong, Euchre, Gourmet and Epicurean groups, Hiking, Movie, Golfing, Knitting, Out and About Adventures, and monthly Eastside happy hours, our members have opportunities to link with women who are interested in making new friends, exploring new interests or simply finding someone else who has the same interests.  Our monthly luncheons are held in ever changing locations around the Greater Seattle area giving you the opportunity to sample new restaurants and our monthly coffees held in four (4) different locations around Seattle allow you to chill, bond with women, and find out what’s happening in your new, or long-time, community.  Additionally, if your partner is looking on with envy at how busy you’ve become, have them join you with our Soundbites group, Euchre, Hiking or Pub Crawl.

Whether you are moving to Seattle, newly retired, looking to widen your social circle, or have experienced a life change that draws you to seek out new friendships, we encourage you to become a member of Newcomers.  Currently, our members live in Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, Bothell, Bremerton, Burien, Edmonds, Everett, Issaquah, Kenmore, Kirkland, Lynnwood, Mill Creek, Mountlake Terrace, Mukilteo, Newcastle, Port Orchard, Redmond, Seattle, Shoreline, Snohomish, West Seattle, Issaquah, Woodinville and beyond.  We invite you to try an activity or two and see for yourself that we might just be what you were looking for.
