Program: Bellevue High School Jazz Combo
Since 2005, KNKX’s School of Jazz has demonstrated a commitment to jazz education. It’s one of the cornerstones of the station’s community outreach programs. School of Jazz provides mentorship, learning and performance opportunities to western Washington middle school, high school and college jazz students. Since its inception, School of Jazz has directly impacted 3,000+ jazz students, band directors and professional musicians.
The Bellevue High School Jazz Combo, under the leadership of Edd George, will delight us with holiday and standard jazz tunes. Let’s give them a warm welcome!
We are supporting WestSide Baby this holiday season by collecting goods that babies and young children need. WestSide Baby is a 501(c)3 charitable organization that meets basic needs of children and promotes safety, security, and healthy development. They distribute to 100+ partner agencies who are experts in early learning, parental support, and healthcare. Please bring as many un-wrapped items as you can, and we'll deliver them to a WestSide Baby collection location. Their winter campaign focuses on:
- All disposable diapers are fine but if you want to better help Mother Earth, please try to find these brands of biodegradable diapers and wipes: Earth + Eden, Hello Bello, Dyper. Wipes, baby wash, baby shampoo, diaper cream, winter coats (newborn to 6T), new underwear, new socks, pajamas (all sizes), small toys, board books, games, puzzles, bottles.
- At this time, furniture, changing tables, exersaucers, and baby swings are not accepted.
If unable to attend the luncheon, you can still help support WestSide Baby by going to westsidebaby.org/donate/ or westsidebaby.org/boxesforbabies or see their wish list on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/AT2DC6TE7SWG
